Caitlin is a mother and has been a doula for over 15 years. She is a Childbirth Educator for She Births® and the Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick. She is also an Infant Massage Instructor and Breastfeeding Counsellor.
Caitlin completed her doula training in 2003 while pregnant with her first baby through Life Options, which has since become the Australian Doula College. She had already supported friends during their births but wanted to know more. After her son turned one, she worked for Life Options as an office manager and worked as a doula regularly from that point.
When Caitlin worked for She Births® in administration, she was a full-time doula as well. She trained in Infant Massage in 2013 and then completed her She Births® Educator Training in 2014. She has been a passionate educator ever since. Caitlin is a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association, working weekly on their national helpline. Since 2016, she has taught the ‘Having a Baby’ program at The Royal Hospital for Women. She has attended over 100 births as a doula and truly believes each birth is just as unique as every woman or each couple. She strives to continue her ongoing learning. It is paramount to Caitlin that she holds space for women to birth in the way they choose so they feel completely supported.
